Have you ever had
the desire to make silver jewelry but didn’t know where to start? Are you a
craftsperson that would like to create embellishments for pottery, textiles,
paper, quilts, polymer, glass or stamping?
Come join one or
our exciting Silver Clay classes where beginners can easily learn to create
earrings, pendants, charms, beads, bracelets and rings in one day. Experience a
new creative adventure and learn how easy and fun it is to make beautiful items
from Precious Metal Clay (PMC) or Art Clay Silver (ACS). Working with Silver
Clay is an exciting process where the inexperienced can explore their artistic
abilities and create unique, one of a kind items.
Precious Metal Clay (PMC) and
Art Clay Silver (ACS) are
composed of microscopic particles of pure silver, an organic binder and water.
This malleable, clay like material, can be molded, sculpted, extruded, carved,
folded, textured, or stamped into the desired shape. It is then fired in either
a kiln or with a mini torch and the binder and water burn away, resulting in a
fascinating pure silver product.
