RK-Whisper The RK-Whisper is the latest in Shimpo's line of superior products, and represents the next generation of potter's wheels. Responsive, high torque at all speeds, powerful and QUIET… This wheel is undoubtedly the quietest on the market. The exterior of the "Whisper" resembles the RK-10 but that's where the similarities end! The "Whisper" features a ½ hp, brushless DC motor and direct drive (no belt) system. The motor is electronically controlled and operated by a fixed foot pedal with hand lever, and the "Whisper" maintains desired speed under all load conditions. The steel body is extremely durable, and a 12" wheelhead and two-piece splashpan are included as standard features. It is reversible and can center up to 100lbs. It's compact design saves space, and the "Whisper" comes with a two-year warranty. Three words describe this wheel: smooth, quiet, and powerful.

Splashpan, Two-Piece with Clips [ARKC0205011] Shimpo offers the finest quality one and two piece splashpans, manufactured from heavy-duty plastic, to attach to our wheels beginning with the RK-10. The Two-Piece Splashpan with Clips fits RK-Whisper and RK-10 models manufactured after 1981 and all Master Series wheels when fitted with a 12-inch Wheelhead. Both pieces of the splashpan remove quickly and easily for cleaning or when throwing larger ware. Shorter mounting bolts are required for use with out tables.

Designed with the potter in mind, the VL-Lite is a belt-driven lightweight wheel. “Lite” enough to carry yet sturdy enough to throw on. Featuring a remote pedal, two-piece splashpan, workspace, 100-watt reversible motor, an automatic belt-tensioning system and a “Lite” price.
